How do I add a bookmark?
You must save a special bookmarklet to your browser's bookmarks. After that, adding bookmarks is a breeze. Just visit the site that you want to bookmark and press the bookmarklet button.
Please follow the one time set up instructions for your browser below.
- Internet Explorer Users
- Firefox Users
- Mozilla/Netscape Users
- Safari Users
What does the "Remember Me" checkbox mean on the login page?
If you check this checkbox, you will never have to input your login information again. When adding subsquent online bookmarks on the same computer/browser, you will automatically be logged in unless you either clear your cookies or click on the logout link.
If you uncheck this checkbox, you will be logged in only for that current session. If you close your browser, you will be logged out. If you are on a public computer (ie. Library computer, Friend's computer), you should uncheck this checkbox.
What is a "Username"?
The username is used only for creating a user friendly bookmarks url. For example, if you choose "joesmith" as your username, the url to view all of your bookmarks will be www.rogerchew.com/bookmarks/joesmith
What is the difference between a public vs private bookmark?
Public bookmarks will appear on your public page and can be viewable by anyone if they know the url.
Private bookmarks will not appear on your public page and can only be viewed when you are logged in. They will have a key (
) icon next to them.
How do I modify/delete/add bookmarks?
You can perform these actions only by logging in. After you login, click on the "edit" link.
What are the minimum requirements?
You must have an internet connection and a browser that accepts cookies and is javascript enabled.
When I use the "Add Online Bookmark" in my favorites, nothing happens.
A popup blocker might be preventing the new window from popping up especially if you are using Internet Explorer. Try holding down the CTRL button when clicking on the bookmark.
